PURCHASING MANAGERRequirements :
- Bachelor degree in Business, Economics or Engineering with minimum 5 years experience.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Excellent in relationship building with related department/function.
- Experience of procurement for manufacturing (pharmaceutical/FMCG) is an advantage.
- IT systems literate with new system implementation experience.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the procurement team.
- Determine and strengthen internal procedures to align with corporate policy and industry best practice.
- Introduce JIT initiatives.
- Supplier management and evaluation.
- Alternate vendor selection and development with cost reduction initiatives being key.
- Close monitoring and expediting of import shipments with timely updates to Management.
