Occupational Health Doctor (Code: OHD)As part of Onsite Medical Service Department, the main objective of this service is to ensure that health services is delivered well and meet with the company’s requirement and government regulations. You will be required to handle the following tasks:
- Assess occupational health risks and advise on risk control measures and strategy, to include workplace visits
- Assess employee medical suitability (fitness) & functional capability for work
- Advise on sickness and disability case management, vocational rehabilitation and (occasionally) ill health retirement
- Identification all hazardous exposure for each activity including if there are any old and new project
- Decide on the applications of health screening, assessment, and early intervention for targeted and high-risk employee/client groups
- Develop relationships with primary care and specialty physicians, hospitals, diagnostic centers and other providers
- Have extensive knowledge of health, safety and welfare regulations; employment and civil law as they apply to the workplace. Interpret these for colleagues and management
Specific Obligations
- Medical Doctor, currently studying towards a certificate/diploma/MSc in Occupational Medicine
- Minimum 7 years experience in general medicine for OH Senior Officer position & minimum 5 years experience in general medicine for OH Officer Position
- Have associate membership of a professional body such as the Faculty of Occupational Medicine is preferable
- Experience on managing occupational health and industrial hygiene program in industry, including specific implemented Health Surveillance programs
- Capable to communicate in English for both written and oral
- Certified Hiperkes, STR, ATLS, ACLS and familiar with MS Office.
- Posses basic leadership competency and strong in communication & interpersonal skill
