Global Assistance and Healthcare, a well-established international medical assistance provider to the Insurance, Oil and Gas, Mining and other corporate sector is inviting highly motivated individuals to fill in the position of:

Sr. Paramedic & Malaria Program Officer (Code: PMPO)

As part of Onsite Medical Service Department, the main objective of this service is to ensure that health services is delivered well and meet with the company’s requirement and government regulations.  

As Sr. Paramedic officer, you will be required to handle the following tasks:

  • Manage and give regular first aid training level 1,2,3 for all employee and documented
  • Conduct vein puncture, ECGs, Audiometric, Spiro metric and visual acuity testing and analyze results and act upon them
  • Conduct travel health immunizations services to set protocols
  • Research and provide relevant health promotion program that are relevant to the needs and special circumstances of the business and client base

As Malaria Program officer, you will be required to handle the following tasks:

  • Management & administration of malaria control
  • Demonstrate good knowledge in the implementation of malaria case surveillance and surveillance database
  • Able to implement Malaria Blood Screening program and tracking of malaria screening defaulter
  • Develop contagious/infectious disease including malaria programs
  • Implement malaria program as follow:
      • Screening & Monitoring (Blood Screening – Sample Reading)
      • Self Protection (Education & Promotion)
      • Elimination & Control of mosquito breeding site
      • Control & prevention (Man hour density)
      • Monitoring, Reporting & Evaluation

Specific Obligations

  • Minimum Diploma Degree from Nursing Academy (For Paramedic & Malaria Program Officer) or Chemical Analyst (For Malaria Program Officer)
  • Registered nurse with at least 3 years post basic training experience in emergency medicine
  • Experience for giving first aid training level minimal 2 years
  • Holds current registration or license qualification
  • BTLS, BCLS certificate (Mandatory for Paramedic), or equivalent training and certification within the last year
  • Capable to communicate in English for both written and oral
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels and remain calm in emergency situations
